What an AMAZING day as we kicked off Project Hope in Peru. We were so blessed today from all the messages and prayers from so many back in the States. We Invited both the girls and boys today to fellowship together and meet the local church leaders and volunteers – the PROJECT HOPE team. We are so grateful for this opportunity to serve along side our Peruvian brothers and sisters in Christ. There are no words to describe the JOY and SMILES that filled the youth’s faces. This was the first time that we met many of the youth, but for some, the Lord opened doors to minister to these youth and their families with our Food For Families ministry over the past four years. This was a special reunion!
We praise God for each one of the youth who will participate. We are beyond excited to get to know each one of them better and share the greatest news ever of how God sent His one and only Son to save us and give us HOPE for eternal life. We praise God for Samaritan’s Purse for sending us hundreds of Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes two years ago, opening the door to find out more about these youth traveling many miles to go to school. Thank you Samaritan’s Purse for your partnership with Project Hope and to ALL our church families and friends who have helped see this vision through. Your prayers and support mean so much to this project.
Please keep praying and look for weekly updates. We cannot wait for the volunteer teams to arrive and help us LOVE on these teenagers. Also, thank you to all the teams who helped with all the construction earlier this year.
