CUMBE MAYO
High in the Andes, the Cajamarca culture (200 AD – 800 AD) built stone roads throughout the mountains, as well as an extensive system of aqueducts known as Cumbe Mayo. Meaning Thin Rivers in Quechua, these aqueducts were used to store water in the rainy season and distribute it in the dry season. Surrounding Cumba Mayo is the stone forest named “Los Frailones” after the eroded stones that resemble hooded monks (frailes).*

View Of A Threshing Floor (Circle) On Top of the Mountain Ridge
threshing floor is a specially flattened surface, usually circular and paved, where a farmer would thresh the grain harvest and then winnow it, before the advent of threshing machines from the nineteenth century onwards. The threshing floor was either owned by the entire village or by a single family. It was usually located outside the village in a place exposed to the wind.*

Infinite Value Of Knowing Christ Jesus My Lord
“I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ.”
~Philippians 3:7-9a
