March was filled with excitement, as the “Peru Crew” from Mountain Road Baptist Church (Statesville, NC) served in Peru for the first time! The team of twelve, led by Jakin Fox, prepared for many months to come and serve along side the Rooted In Grace & Love Mission Team. Months prior, Mountain Road Baptist Church members worked countless hours preparing many Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes in the States. The team was so excited to be able, for the first time, to distribute the boxes to many Peruvian children in remote areas and villages.
Each day, the team loved and served many of the Peruvian people and helped share the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST. The rainy season made roads difficult to travel, but for the team, this was no challenge as they walked by foot many miles to help distribute shoeboxes and help the mission team share the greatest gift of all – salvation through God’s one and only Son, Jesus Christ.
What an incredible team united in LOVE! We were so amazed as many of the team members shared their testimonies and walks of faith – ultimately sharing God’s AMAZING GRACE and changed lives when fully surrendering their lives to Him. Their hearts and LOVE for the Lord inspired and encouraged us greatly! We thank God for sending us this team and look forward to their return.
Please pray for each child, adult, and youth that was impacted and LOVED by this team. Pray for many to come and know JESUS CHRIST as their Lord and Savior!
